Classic Cuisine and Classic Theater
What better fit for Rialto’s classic cuisine than classic theater like Lady with a Lapdog and A Midsummer Night’s Dream? This Fall, Rialto began a collaboration with our Harvard Square neighbors, the American Repertory Theater, by serving a special menu for ticket holders, featuring a 2-course selection for $29 or 3-course selection for $35 available to reservations seating between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Just let us know you’re heading to the show when you make your reservation and we’ll take it from there. To purchase tickets to the A.R.T., call (617) 547-8300.
Holiday Gifts from Rialto
Short of wrapping up Patrick and Jody and placing them under the tree, what could be better than receiving a gift certificate for Rialto’s 4-star service? This holiday season, warm someone’s heart and tummy by giving a certificate for dinner, a signed cookbook, a private wine tasting or any combination of the latter. Just give us a call or stop by.
Other News
Many of you know…that Rialto server, Joseph Skokowski, has owned a rare books bookstore for the past 5 years. This year, he’s decided to close the doors of his Brookline shop and open digital doors at www.albatrossbookstore.com with a beautiful new design by former Rialto employee, Dale Muzzey, (currently a student at Harvard). Click over and take a look at what’s in stock.
Cooking with Tom and Caroline
If you’ve ever wondered who is at the helm when Jody’s not there, it’s sous chefs Tom Fosnot and Caroline Nolan -- they’re the ones who make sure every dish is perfect. Next month, the Boston Center for Adult Education is giving you an opportunity to see Tom and Caroline’s talents at work. They’re a great team and know how to have fun in the kitchen. After all, that’s what they do every night. Call the BCAE at (617) 267-4430 to register or visit www.bcae.org for class information and location.

Winter Cooking Classes – “Entertaining Three Ways”
2004 offers a fresh start for cooking and dining. Bid adieu to the potentially predictable menus of the holiday season, and explore new culinary territories with the foods you truly love. This winter, Jody Adams teaches a series of cooking classes on entertaining and introduces her interpretation of Party Food, Street Food and Table Food. She’ll demonstrate menus for three different entertaining styles-- from elegant and relaxed, or simple and informal, to downright comfy -- and will show you how to twist and turn well-loved dishes into bite-sized tastes. You will come away, with wonderful recipes and a wealth of ideas as to how to take your personal repertoire and spin it into something new. Classes include the cooking demonstration and a tasting menu of the day’s recipes paired with wines.
