James Beard award-winning chef and owner Jody Adams embraces New England ingredients with regional Italian culinary traditions.  In November and December Rialto's kitchen trains its focus to Friuli-Venieza Giulia, where one can find the influence of Austria, Slovenia enters Italy, resulting in some of the country's most sophisticated cuisine. Current menu offerings include an  Antipasto di Friuli - San Daniele prosciutto, Montasio cheese, pickled quince and sweet and sour turnips; Seared scallops with squid ink lasagna, oysters and Romanesco sauce; and Rabbit braised in red wine with pancetta and paprika and served with Friulian dried fruit ravioli. The Rialto bar menu features small bites and antipasti dishes along with heartier fare like a Roasted duck sandwich with gingered figs, gruyère and hand-cut fries or Handmade penne with a bolognese sauce of veal, beef, pork and tomatoes.

A welcoming gathering place for the community and hotel guests, patrons enter the restaurant via a white stone path inspired by an ancient Roman road, passing by the illuminated onyx bar into the dining room.  Curved banquettes and cozy nooks invite intimate conversation while pumpkin, olive and white draperies evoke the warm colors of the Italian countryside.  In warm weather Rialto’s new terrace offers alfresco dining in the shade of a saffron awning amid vine-covered trellises.

The Boston Globe awarded Rialto a coveted four stars in three consecutive reviews and Gourmet Magazine named it one of the "World's Top Hotel Restaurants."

Rialto also offers two classically elegant, private spaces, ideal for wedding receptions, business meetings, recruiting events, celebratory parties, and more. For more information please contact, Annie Sarkis at [email protected] or 617.234.8026.
